In 2010 a large earthquake devastated the country of Haiti and the capital city of Port-Au-Prince. Over 250,000 people were killed, and the country descended into an almost unimaginable crisis.
I traveled to Port-Au-Prince less than 20 days after the earthquake to follow a Haitian-American businessman named David Pierre-Louis, in partnership with The Production Foundry. He and a small team set out to establish an aid station at his mother’s destroyed home.
Over the next 6 years, Mark Goodnow and The Production Foundry continued to follow David and the resulting footage was released as a feature length documentary in 2019. You can find the trailer above and the website of David’s organization (named Kay Tita after his mother) here.
